The Really Big Table is long table that functions as a gathering space and activates alternative places. Through its modular construction, it can be easily transported throughout the urban landscape by bicycle. These artists think of their table as an accordion book that holds, tells, and creates stories through participation and conversation. They can deliver and set up the table with the help of a few volunteers or the process of building the table with them can be part of the team building experience.
They can also stay and run other engagement activities such as setting a long paper runner with questions to prompt conversations or battering warm cookies for the sharing of knowledge or stories. The Really Big Table team can work with your organization for custom engagement activities or just set up our long platform for you to host upon.
